Calm Quest: Level Up Your Calm
Big feelings happen to everyone. The trick is knowing what to do when they show up. In Calm Quest, players step into five real-life situations and make choices about how to handle them. Then they practice a real emotional-regulation skill, hands-on.
The quests
-
📝 The Pop Quiz: Worry hits before a test. Practice box breathing by breathing out into your microphone while following the square.
-
📱 The Group Chat: Feeling left out online. Use 5-4-3-2-1 grounding and learn to reframe unhelpful thoughts.
-
🎮 Rage Quit: Frustration builds during a game. Try squeeze-and-release to let tension go.
-
🎧 Sibling Showdown: Anger at a brother or sister. Build an I-statement and practice saying it out loud.
-
🏀 The Big Moment: Nerves before a game or performance. Cool the mug with hot cocoa breathing and claim your power phrase.
How it works
Players earn points for helpful choices, calm streaks and how well they follow each breathing rhythm. Each completed quest unlocks the next one and adds a badge to their Calm Toolkit. Every quest ends with a real-life challenge to try that week.
Good to know
-
Players use a nickname, not their real name, on the leaderboard.
-
The microphone is optional. The game only measures how loud a breath or voice is, right on the device, and nothing is recorded or sent. No mic? A tap-and-hold button works just as well.
-
Best for ages 10–15, at home or in the classroom.
Calm Quest is for learning and practicing coping skills. It isn’t a replacement for support from a counselor, therapist or trusted adult.
